Internship

Deadline for applications 23/4/2025

Interns are and have always been a big part of 44Møen, which in many ways is dependent on young energy visiting every summer to work and learn. Maybe you’re who we’re looking for in the 2025 season?

We can offer you a summer – amid the calm countryside – where you’ll be a part of the daily life of an international art platform. You’ll meet and work with Danish and international artists, curators, and art workers, expanding your network in and knowledge of the art world. You’ll live in our brand-new residency building with your own apartment, bathroom, and shared kitchen. We’ll also cover some of your living expenses.

Your work will primarily center around communication, day-to-day tasks, and ad-hoc work. We expect you to orient yourself thoroughly in the current exhibitions, as well as 44Møens history and background, so you can educate visiting guests, especially through guided tours. You’ll help out during events and generally participate in upholding and maintaining the warm and welcoming atmosphere of 44Møen during your internship. You’ll work around 30 hours a week, Wednesday-Sunday, as part of a small and competent team.

We prefer that you’re currently doing art or cultural studies at university level. Your internship will last a month, although we’re open for a longer timespan – please indicate in your application whether you prefer June, July, August, or several months. In June (starting 28/5 or 2/6) you’ll mainly focus on the installation of this season’s main exhibit, while July and August will be more about guided tours, events, and day-to-day tasks.

Send your application to praktik@44moen.dk by April 23rd at the latest. Interviews will be held in week 18, with final answers by May 2nd. For more info, explore our website or write to praktik@44moen.dk.
